Code of Ethics

1. A member's workmanship and materials shall in every situation be of the highest possible quality.

2. A member's conduct with clients, prospective or existing, shall be in the most professional and polite manner possible. The level of advice given by a member to a client, prospective or existing, shall be the most appropriate and pursuant to item 1 above.

3. A member shall never actively pursue the existing client of another member by personal approach, including facsimile, telephone, post or electronic mail, except if:

a. specifically requested at the instigation of the prospective client
b. requested by an authorised consultant acting on behalf of a prospective client
c. responding to an advertisement of Public Tender

4. A member shall not express an opinion on behalf of the Guild without the consent of the Committee (e.g. that the Guild approves of a particular firm's work or products).

5. A member shall not act in any manner contrary to the Guild's Constitution, or detrimental to its reputation or internal fellowship.
